About Panos Giannikopoulos

Panos Giannikopoulos (b. 1991, Athens) is a curator and interdisciplinary researcher. He holds an MA in Gender, Society, and Politics from Panteion University, following his studies in History, Archaeology, and History of Art at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Thessaly. Giannikopoulos is the curator for Greece at the 60th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale (2024) and was part of the curatorial team for the 2021 Mediterranea 19 Young Artists Biennale. From 2018 to 2023, he coordinated the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship Program at ARTWORKS and is now the Public Program Curator and Residency Coordinator at the same institution. Notable exhibitions include "This Current Between Us" at the PPC Historic Steam Electric Station in Neo Faliro (2022-2023). His work spans a wide range of collaborations with prominent museums, galleries, and art organizations, including GAMeC (Bergamo), ACG Gallery, the B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), The Breeder, Haus N Athen, Korai (Nicosia), Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (Turin), SNEHTA, the Institute of Contemporary Greek Art (ISET), AMA House, and the Athens Biennale. His texts have been published in various newspapers, magazines, publications, and exhibition catalogs. He has served as a Curatorial Fellow at the Schwarz Foundation in 2016 and received the Curatorial Award Premio Lorenzo Bonaldi per l'Arte – EnterPrize in 2021. He is also the founder of the Wild Reeds Platform.
