Panos Karalis is an IT director with Platform Engineer background and experience on telecommunications, IoT, networks and infrastructures systems- Familiar with Agile methodologies and practices. Adjusted to be either member or leader in a team- Major design experience: designing solutions from investigation level to the coding level- Major testing experience: testing activities, having deep background on the unit, function, integration and verification testing activities of the product- Experience on the design and implementation of the Test Framework regarding the test activities of a product as well as the relevant test automation part- Certified tester from ISTQB international board- Experience on the IP networks - Very deep knowledge of mobile technologies (2G and 3G networks) based on the Ericsson mobile platforms- Troubleshooting on live/real mobile networks (Ericsson)- Experience on virtual mobile networks (based on Ericsson platforms and technologies)- Contributor on OPNFV, openstack and opendaylight open source projects/communities, adding personal effort for the improvement of the worldwide cloud technologies. As part of those activities, tools like linux or docker containers as well as postgres, oracle, cassandra, mysql, mongo databases are used- DevOps experience (as Platform engineer) on cloud and IoT technologies, architectures and infrastructures using AWS and private cloud infrastructure- As part of the aforementioned experience, he is considered as well as handler of the low and high level programming languages (assembly, C, css, java, javascript, mysql, python, ttcn)- Experience on back-end, front-end role as well as database role in the products- Experience on Monitoring systems as well as Threat Detection and Prevention systems - Ability to communicate effectively and thoroughly with project managers, other teams and stakeholders- Ability to work independently and remotely, using relevant tools (e.g. communication software tools, sharing tools, git tool, JIRA tickets etc)- Ability to guide a team or department (involving in each necessary areas like finance, budget, reporting, KPIs, procurement, evaluation etc)- Ability to investigate and introduce/integrate new technologies - Experience on cybersecurity and relevant certifications (e.g. ISO27001)- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
