About Paolo Ferla
I studied Civil Engineering, achieving my Master's degree with first class honours after a four-month study period in Germany where I worked on my Master's thesis and took English and German languages exams one of which, focused specifically on English for civil engineering. After my studies, I had the opportunity to participate in an internship in San Francisco where I held the position of project manager for a very important marble installation company in the city. I collaborated in a structural engineering office and simultaneously with the professor of Solid and Structure Mechanics both in teaching and in research. I spent most of 2020 at Lund University (LTH) for research in Fluid-Structure Interaction in thrust chamber cooling channels, thereafter I came back to Italy to complete the thesis work and achieve a PhD in aerospace engineering. Eventually, I started a new career as a fire department lieutenant.
