About Paolo Scopece

PhD in Chemical Science with more than 15 years experience in nanotechnology, surface chemistry and process engineering. Since 2016 I work as Managing Director at Nadir Srl, an innovative SME dedicated to the applications of a proprietary atmospheric plasma technology, and to development of advance polymer composites. In these years we take our plasma technology from lab prototype to market, and our plasma devices are now applied in several fields ranging from academic research, smart manufacturing, biomedical, aerospace, 3D printing, and cultural heritage. The international patent related to our plasma technology has been granted in several countries (United States, China, Japan, Australia, Canada, Europe), and Nadir has been recognized as "key innovator" by the European Innovation radar initiative with two innovations related to both our technologies Prior to joining Nadir I worked as group leader in a research institute dedicated to the application of nanotechnologies, working in the field of surface chemistry, atmospheric plasma treatments and coatings, in the field of advanced polymer composite and in the field of new materials and devices for electroanalytical determinations and electrochemical processes. My main role was the technology transfer advisor between academia and industry working as project manager in several research projects both in the national and European domain where I currently collaborate as independent expert evaluator. As soft skills I can underline a strong problem solving attitude and the pleasure of team working.
