About Paolo Sudiro

I graduated in Geology with a thesis dissertation on the Middle Triassic stratigraphy of the Marmolada-Costabella Group (Western Dolomites), and a short dissertation on the Geology of Val d'Oten (Eastern Cadore) involving extensive geological mapping. After a very short experience in the great distribution as trainee Shop Manager, I entered the oil industry as Field Geologist, to become SLS Data Engineer the following year. I later moved to MWD/LWD Service, temporarily working also as Log Analyst. In 2003 I became increasingly involved in Drilling Optimization, very successfully introducing the service to various clients, and from 2007 I started working as Reservoir Navigation Supervisor, alternating LWD, DOE and RNS according to operation requirements. RNS is currently my main activity.In 2012 I have been nominated Competency Assessor for most of the LWD and MWD tools of the Baker Hughes fleet.In the 26+ spent in the oil industry I worked both individually and as a member of multi-cultural/multi-language crews, dealing with a wide range of clients in various locations worldwide.Specialties: Log analysis and QC of logging data, Reservoir Navigation, 2D geological modelling, image logs interpretation and dip picking, basic FE log interpretation, drilling optimization, HPHT MWD applications, UGS, ERD, deep waters drilling and multilaterals, geological mapping of sedimentary rocks in fold belt areas, sedimentary facies analysis.
