I am an experienced lawyer with expertise in the areas of accident compensation/personal injury and medico-legal issues. I am currently employed as a medico-legal lawyer for New Zealand Nurses Organisation. My career was focused on providing advice and representing accredited employers, employers, insurers, health professionals, and third-party administrators at hearings. I have attended over 350 hearings with successful outcomes for the vast majority of these cases, which included complex claims relating to chemical exposure, and treatment injuries. In addition, I have conducted over 250 review hearings and issued decisions in a quasi-judicial position as a Review Officer. I authored a book titled ‘Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation - Act and Analysis’, which was published by Brookers Legal Publication in April 2002.
