About Parameswar Hari

I am a tenured professor in Physics and engineering physics at the University of Tulsa. I also serve as the director of an interdisciplinary, inter-university institute, the Oklahoma Photovoltaic Research institute. Details of the institute can be found at: I am interested in teaching physics, mentoring students, as well as performing collaborative research with physicists, biologists, engineers and chemists. In the past 17 years, I have had the privilege of mentoring 42 students. Currently I am supervising two PhD. students and 6 undergraduate students. I have taught 14 different courses from basic conceptual physics (Physics 1003) to Advanced Quantum Mechanics (Physics 7292). I have authored 97 publications in condensed matter physics and given 112 presentations at various national and international conferences. My research interests are in solar cell fabrication, agrivoltaics, modeling materials and solar cell characterization, fabrication of novel nano materials and nano devices. I was the recipient of the Zelimir Schmidt outstanding researcher award in 2019. I also received the outstanding TURC mentor award in 2009. My current research projects are funded by NASA, US Air Force and NSF.
