Photonics Engineer | Semiconductor Processing | Nanofabrication | Photonic Integration I am a passionate photonics engineer with proven expertise in the design, simulation, fabrication, and characterisation of integrated photonic devices and high-speed photodetectors. My PhD at RMIT University focuses on integrating semiconductor photodetectors onto lithium niobate using Micro-Transfer Printing (MTP) technology, contributing to next-generation sensing solutions for applications in autonomous vehicles, infrastructure monitoring, and drone technologies. During my Master's thesis at CeNSE, IISc Bangalore, I developed tunable gratings using phase change materials (VO₂) for beam steering and thermo-optic switching applications. This work provided deep insights into advanced material behaviour and photonic structure optimisation. I also had the opportunity to serve as a Visiting PhD Researcher at Ghent University, Belgium. There, I received hands-on training in Micro-Transfer Printing and worked on the heterogeneous integration of photonic components on chip platforms. With a strong foundation in materials science, laser systems, and nanofabrication, I bring practical experience using tools such as Lumerical FDTD, FIMMWAVE, IPKISS, REME, and cleanroom processes like Electron Beam Lithography (EBL), Reactive Ion Etching (RIE), wet etching, and polymer processing.
