Background

About Paris Riebeling

I have recently graduated with a Double Bachelors in Global Studies and Science at Monash University, specialising in International Studies and majoring in Biochemistry. My academic background has equipped me with a strong interdisciplinary foundation and a deep curiosity about the intersections of social structures, sustainability, and global equity. Through my course I immersed myself in diverse and collaborative environments; including a semester abroad at Leiden University in the Netherlands and a Monash University internship program, both of which have strengthened my ability to think critically and act locally with a global perspective. Professionally, I have pursued my commitment to sustainability and social justice through roles in the non-profit sector. As Social Policy Lead at Foundations for Tomorrow, I contribute to developing national-level advocacy for intergenerational equity. I also work to uphold the organisation’s values by fostering inclusion and amplifying diverse voices within and beyond the organisation. Additionally, my role on the Capacity Building Team at 350 Australia has allowed me to engage directly with climate justice efforts, focusing on movement-building and community empowerment to support grassroots action on the climate crisis and has since moved on to being involved with the Treaty Now movement and campaign. I’m driven by a passion for inclusive policy, environmental justice, and global collaboration. I aim to contribute to a professional space that values equity, reimagines systems, and builds sustainable futures from the ground up.
