CIMA qualified Financial Controller with over 10 years PQE. Key strengths include business partnering with senior internal stakeholders; performing analysis into financial information to improve decision making and profitability; conducting assessments of finance and accounting environments to proactively drive cultural change and improve core processes and systems. Key projects & achievements: Involved in the implementation of Paprika, our finance software, including user testing, training, and ensuring balances were correct before final roll out. Successfully migrated the payroll for 3 group companies, which had been outsourced, onto the in-house Sage payroll system as well as training all users. Streamlined month end reporting deadlines to ensure financial review discussions are based on current actuals and forecast. These deadlines were subsequently adopted by the rest of the group. On going client profitability analysis has enabled us to increase retainer fees, which has subsequently led to introducing a minimum retainer level for new business pitches. Successfully managed and made recommendations to the board during COVID on cost savings to ensure margins were maintained for reporting to our private equity partners. Brought about cultural change with the project management team in understanding the importance of billings, profitability and cashflow. Involved in the set-up of our New York office, including the set-up of a new Paprika system, as well as negotiating recharge costs for office space and shared resources to ensure that they fit in with expected margins.
