About Parker Gillham

I am a recent graduate from the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources at the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife. I have several years of work experience throughout my scholastic career in landscaping, retail, and food service. I have volunteered with Relay For Life for several years and have also helped coach little league baseball. I am currently working for the City of Douglasville Parks and Recreation department where I assist with managing both youth and adult sports leagues. I have taken classes in ornithology, vertebrate natural history, dendrology, silviculture, and wildlife physiology and am well versed in the species of flora and fauna of the southeast. My studies have also given me research and environmental survey experience while using different sampling methods. Detecting stream health, calculating habitat suitability indexes to determine management actions for wild turkey habitat, and preforming forest inventory for writing up silvicultural plans are just a few of the projects I carried out over the past years.
