With over 15 years of experience in Community Development, I am a confident expert in grant writing and managing the activities and projects funded with grant or federal funds. I have developed exceptional skills that enable me to understand and navigate complex requirements, create applications, and ensure timely data submission. I highly value developing detailed-oriented checklists and spreadsheets that guide and may fluctuate during the application and project, reviewing policy documents, and communicating with elected officials, key staff, and engineers to ensure all essential processes are in place. Over the past three years, I have successfully written 25 grants for state and local government entities to design and deliver a wide range of successful federal and state-funded disaster recovery, mitigation, resilience, and community development programs. I am very interested in understanding the need for developing affordable housing projects. I strongly believe that a good educational background is crucial for everyone. I have thoroughly researched this matter for the North East Texas Habitat for Humanity.
