About Parker Scott

I am a leader and an innovator. In my work I am solutions oriented, driven to interact with people, and enthusiastic about learning new technologies. I am a Software Engineer who enjoys solving challenging problems, learning new skills, and finding opportunities to lead/mentor. Prior to graduating University of California, Irvine in 2019, I worked for ~3 years as a Software Developer student employee within UC Irvine's Student Center & Event Services (SCES) company. I have worked software development projects with teams ranging in size from 3 - 16 team members. I have worked in a variety of roles, most notably with Software Engineering, Project Coordinator, UI/UX, and Assistant Producer, across a spectrum of professional and educational projects. I don't fear challenge or shy away from risk. My education, my work, and my projects have taught me much, but when faced with problems or concepts I'm unfamiliar with, I tackle them head on. I can self-manage, communicate effectively with my team(s), coworkers, and managers, and I have learned how to balance meticulousness and efficiency in the software business.
