About Parth Bhangla

Hi, I'm Parth — a Computer Engineering student at UMass Amherst who’s really into robotics, control systems, and anything that brings machines to life. Over the past couple of years, I’ve been diving into projects that mix hardware and software in fun and challenging ways. I’ve worked on robot localization and SLAM using ROS, played around with sensor fusion using LIDAR and IMUs, and built control systems for simulated robots. One of my favorite projects was simulating a robotic arm with an inverted pendulum and figuring out how to keep it balanced using different control techniques. Last summer, I interned at a robotics startup in India where I helped build a weed detection model using deep learning. It was a great experience that taught me a lot about working on real-world robotics problems in the field. Outside of that, I’ve explored audio classification with PyTorch, built a football tracking app using OpenCV, and even made a Wordle solver just for fun. I’m currently looking for internship opportunities where I can keep learning, work on cool problems, and be part of a team that’s building something meaningful in robotics or AI.
