About Parth Kapadia

First and foremost, I love programming. Since my childhood computers have intrigued me. Computers were the thing that made me win my first prize, a web design competition in school. And since then, my life revolves around these dumb terminals. I loved the idea of solving real-world problems using computers. College was the turning point in my life. My passion for computers and problem solving made me choose a field in Computer Science. I had unlimited resources to learn from. And the underconfident personality of mine that I am not enough is what keeps me up at night and makes me learn new things every day. Google Summer of Code introduced me to the world of open source. I have worked under the Xapian Search Engine Library to extend Xapian Omega's support for indexing various new file formats.
