About Parth Mehta

My first opportunity in television was working as a publicist for India's biggest Entertainment Channel, Sony Entertainment Television. During my 3 year stint there I co-ordinated with artists, engaged with the media and helped the post production team. Not long after I was offered the position of Assistant Director and Production. This opened up a lot of new opportunities and solidified my love of the industry and my desire to work in the creative side of it.While on my new role I managed call sheets, co-ordinated with artists and fulfilled the production team and director's needs on set. My goal was to make sure everything ran seamlessly during a shoot. I did this by handling shoot scheduling, informing respective team members about upcoming shoots and assisting crew members during technical and shoot days. I was also involved with doing the paperwork for the producer such as invoices and maintaining the production databases as well as helping the post production team.In addition to my work background I have taken my passion seriously on the higher education front and received and am working on a few relevant degrees and diplomas. I have successfully completed a graduate degree in Mass Media, Master’s in Entertainment, Marketing, and Advertising from Mumbai, India. I am currently pursuing a Diploma in Broadcast- Television/ Videography at Humber College to add even more value to my existing skillset.With my past work at Sony and other jobs I have shown that I have solid time management skills, have a team player attitude (so important during those long days), effective communication skills and I can thrive in a fast-paced environment. I have handled many tasks at once efficiently with a positive outcome. I am so excited about where the television industry is heading and I am enthusiastically paying attention to current trends in an effort to create content with the highest of quality. I am positive all these skills and enthusiasm will make me an immediate asset to a production team.
