About Parth Raval

As an assistant professor in mechanical engineering with over a decade of academic and research experience, I specialize in sustainable machining, metal additive manufacturing (WAAM), and life cycle analysis of high-performance materials like Inconel 625. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at IITRAM-Ahmedabad, and have published multiple Q1 journal articles on energy-efficient and environmentally conscious manufacturing processes. My work bridges cutting-edge research and practical industrial applications, with special focus on cryogenic machining, EDM, and techno-economic modelling. I have a published patent for an interactive smart mirror and have led a few sponsored research projects that have been supported by SERB-DST, SSIP, and GTU. I have served as a reviewer for reputed journals, innovation ambassador, startup mentor, and innovation evaluator, IMC member for CoE etc. With international exposure (Turkey, Poland, USA, Denmark, and Australia), I strive to contribute meaningfully to sustainable manufacturing innovation, curriculum development, and student incubation support. I am also carrying responsibility as IP Cell Coordinator from GujCOST to promote Intellecutual Property Right (IPR), Convener for Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), MoE-GoI for innovation & design thinking, and SSIP coordinator to support startup ecosystem. My vision is to integrate design thinking, lean strategies, and digital transformation in engineering education and research to enable next-generation manufacturing solutions.
