Out of my 35 years of service, I had the opportunities to work in different sectors- mainly LIFE INSURANCE ( BOTH INDIA & MIDDLE EAST), HOUSING FINANCE AND TRAINING & RESEARCH. Mostly in leadership positions. Also served as a director for about one year in LICHFL FSL, a subsidiary company of LIC HFL. My current assignment is that of a Faculty member in NIA, the premier training & research institute of the Country in the areas of Insurance & Pension along with a residential PGDM Course. In the immediate previous assignment of RM ( MKTG), LIC, WZO, I was one of the two marketing heads of the biggest zone of LIC Of India. The main objectives of the position of GM(Marketing) in LICHFL was to develop and execute effective strategies to ensure a)-achievement of business Target in Retail b)correct Product mix c) A strong, well spread, experienced, loyal and productive marketing force. 2) To allocate different targets amongst the Regions,to monitor and review their performance regularly. 3) To launch new Products and schemes after due Market intelligence. 4) To launch different schemes of incentives and empowerment for Marketing Officials in order to increase productivity. 5) To Plan expansion of the company through opening of new offices and execute the same.
