About Parvathy Pavanan

As a senior civil structural engineer at DRDO, the Ministry of Defence's research and development organization, I apply my expertise in soil and structural dynamics to design and evaluate structures that can withstand earthquake and blast loads. I have a master's degree in Earthquake Engineering of structures from IIT Roorkee, one of the premier engineering institutes in India, and two years of experience as a research and teaching assistant at the same institute. I also have over one year of experience as a civil engineer at ISRO, the Indian Space Research Organization, where I worked on various projects related to launch pads and rocket structures. I am proficient in STAAD Pro, ETABS, Ansys Autodyn, Midas Civil, Primavera, AutoCAD etc, software for structural analysis and design, as well as construction planning and structural calculations. I am passionate about enhancing the safety and resilience of critical infrastructure and contributing towards sustainable construction.
