About Parvinder Kaur

I am currently working as senior regulatory toxicology expert, responsible for the registration and renewal of plant protection products according to EU and international regulatory framework. Previously employed as senior regulatory toxicologist assessing safety of chemicals for human health according to REACH regulation. I have also worked as a senior advisor at the Norwegian directorate of health where I was responsible for advising external candidates regarding regulation and procurement of patient data. I have also previously contributed as a senior toxicologist on the aspects of hazard and risk assessment of chemicals in a project collaboration with Gassnova, Sintef, NILU and NTNU. In addition, I have previous experience in cellular and molecular toxicology and expertise in modern techniques such as preparation and maintenance of primary cell cultures and cell lines, microsurgery, determination of cellular oxidative status (ROS and GSH), cytotoxicity, lipid analysis, confocal and fluorescence microscopy, ultrasound, radioactivity and immuno-labelling. I have held workshops and courses at several international conferences and received 'Best poster and Best presentation' prize. I could thereby combine my knowledge and expertise to understand effect of different chemicals and toxicants in different aspects and contribute to human safety.
