About Pascal Bremenson

Founded in 1973 by Mr. Jean Chaumier, the association now employs 250 people and welcomes over people daily. Its mission has remained unchanged since its inception: to welcome, accommodate, and provide social support to people experiencing significant social hardship within its 18 establishments. Since 2003, Horizon Amitié has held accreditation for a work integration project called "Solibat." It offers several activities: collecting second-hand clothing, cleaning, maintaining green spaces and roads, and even renovating turnkey premises. The work integration project currently has 53 employees. In July 2014, Solibat took over the work integration project from the "Banque de l'objet." Having become one of Solibat's services, the Banque de l'objet (Banque of Objects) continues its work collecting unsold non-food items and business furniture. As a reuse player, the service's mission is to collect any product that could be used for household equipment (furniture, tableware, bedding, household appliances, home improvement and DIY materials) or for everyday family life (textiles, school supplies, hygiene products, etc.). Beyond creating jobs in logistics and sales and supporting employees with a PASS IAE towards a sustainable career path, its work contributes to waste reduction and reuse, as well as to local solidarity initiatives by prioritizing mutual aid associations, Social and Solidarity Economy organizations, and people in need. Since its creation and thanks to partner companies who benefit from tax advantages on their donations, the Banque de l'objet service has collected more than 470 tonnes of material and redistributed pieces of furniture and objects for a value of more than 3 million euros.
