Pascal Briois is currently an associate professor in process engineering in the Energy & Computer Science department of "Université de Technologie de Belfort-Montbéliard"(UTBM) component institution of "Université Marie et Louis Pasteur"(UMLP) and is director of the Micro Nano Science and Systems (MN2S) department of the FEMTO-ST institute ((Franche-Comté Électronique Mécanique Thermique et Optique - Sciences et Technologies). He is also director of the SURFACE platform of UTBM/FEMTO-ST. Pascal BRIOIS' main research interests revolve around the use of magnetron sputtering for technological applications in the field of energy and the environment such as high and medium temperature ceramic oxide fuel cells (SOFC and PCFC), electrolysers, sensors, etc, but also for applications under extreme condition such as the reduction of friction coefficients, hard coatings, etc. Pascal Briois is a member of the steering committee of the UAR FC-Lab for the materials aspect for H2 systems and a representative of the FEMTO-ST institute on the steering committee of French Research Network on Hydrogen Energy (FRH2)
