About Pascal Ghys
In the year 1996, he was graduated in Scientific Calculations at the Engineers School of Leonard de Vinci (Paris). Afterwards, he joined the consulting company named RETEC. He worked for several aeronautical and space firms in Structural simulations. From 1997 to he worked on military helicopter NH90 as subcontractor in EADS. During this period, he realized structural simulations on composite parts of this helicopter. In he joined Alstom Transport to calculate by FEA the structural simulations on double-deck and metro trains. Since 2005, he is responsible for Structural calculations department : static, dynamic, vibrations, fatigue, fire & smoke on Urban projects.Moreover, he participated to R&D structural WG in order to uniform the methodologies used in Alstom Transport. In the other hand, he participates to National and European research program such as : Modenergy/Modurban, Momentum, Ultimat/I-Trans.
