About Pascal Lacaille

I am a Windows software developer with 18+ years of experience using C++, with very strong technical skills. In my years with Corel Corporation, I had the opportunity to work with multiple technologies such as Win32, MFC, COM, STL, multi-thread, web services integration, memory management, performance and code optimization and many more. I worked and released CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 8 to X7 and CorelDRAW Technical Suite 10 to X7, including 2 Mac and 1 Linux versions. In my current role as Principal Software Developer, I am the main contact point for the development teams. I manage the daily activities related to the project and I coordinate and inform all stakeholders about the impact and status of the project. I work with the teams to define the requirements and align them toward our goals. I am in constant communication with other team managers to share project status, resource allocation, risks and day-to-day cross team coordination. I work with the stakeholders to define the development teams hand-offs, milestones and deliverables. I remove obstacles for the developers to ensure they remain productive and effective. I delegate tasks to developers and I manage dependencies. I am accountable for the success of the project and take great pride in delivering innovative software of the highest quality.
