About Pascal Perusse

As Senior Manager for the Rule Team at Sphera, I am involved into porting regulations related to the management of hazardous chemicals into functional specifications and ultimately into working code. Within my position, I need to collaborate with regulatory, technical, and marketing people. The regulatory analysis portion of my position includes writing up non-ambiguous user-oriented summaries and debating possible interpretations. I often need to participate, and frequently lead, technical or functional discussions. I am always successful in tailoring my communication style to my audience. I am always looking at making our processes and implementations more efficient and complete, to continue to provide to our users the best possible hazardous material compliance system of the market. High analytical skills, great communication skills (can adapt very well to various target audiences - end users, technical, regulatory), and great knowledge related to management of hazardous chemicals for workplace and transport. These analytical capacities could be leveraged to many other domains, including financial. It's my firm belief that one cannot be a good analyst (or manager) if one does not take time to grasp the domain and become an expert at it. Great at object-oriented / conceptual thinking. My implementations are surviving the stress of time and of ever-changing requirements. ScrumMaster for about 15 years now, managing a team of analysts/developers. Instrumental in ensuring that work items are ready-ready (even though this isn't formally the ScrumMaster duty). Focused on ensuring that stuff gets done by maximizing everybody's capacities while having fun.
