I’m looking for challenges and opportunities that combine as many of these as possible- new technologies and media- branding, communications and digital marketing- public engagement and empowerment- impactful projects and campaigns (awareness, advocacy, political, public relations, fundraising/development)- public policy, law, and the protection and promotion of rights. Some of the things I’m best at are- managing projects and people- strategic thinking, planning, and negotiating- solving problems- writing, and otherwise creating, curating and communicating content in engaging ways that compel people to think and move them to act. I believe in the power of technology, and in our ability to use it as force for good. Most recently I've worked as a consultant in digital marketing and growth for companies with a social conscience. I principally help develop branding and marketing campaigns, and do a whole lot of writing. As the Canadian director of Change.org, I worked at the intersection of new technologies and social change, providing strategic advice and resources to Canadian users and helping them harness the power of online tools to run and win campaigns for positive social change. I've also worked in law, public relations/communications, human rights & democratic development, and VHS cassette rental.
