About Pasquale Seliger

From my journey starting with a secondary school diploma to completing high school and advancing to Bachelor's and Master's degrees at top universities, I have experienced nearly every aspect of the education system. Even back then, it was a challenge to navigate this path. But compared to today, the barriers for many people – especially long-term unemployed individuals or those who have come to Germany as refugees – are significantly higher. Equal educational opportunities have been a constant theme throughout my life. What I learned during my school and university years is that motivated students could find their way if they were provided with the right opportunities. However, in adult education, especially for those who have faced setbacks, there are often no comparable opportunities. This is where our work with Zukunftsmotor comes in: We aim to provide people who have been unemployed for a long time or had to leave their previous lives behind due to displacement, with new perspectives, enabling them to succeed in their path – if given the chance. As a committed democrat, I see it as an essential societal duty to promote equal opportunities. Only by doing so can we holistically address the growing skilled labor shortage and create a win-win situation that benefits both society and the economy. I am on this journey and look forward to everyone who wants to join me on this path!
