About Pat Billig
In high school, I first discovered my passion for competitive distance running. I learned success in running hinged on formulating a sound training plan, perseverance, and discipline. But to me the most important aspect of running is enjoying the journey. Over the years, I find that these linchpins of distance running apply to a successful patent prosecution practice. I have enjoyed working alongside my clients to build and develop their patent portfolios along with the development and growth of Dicke, Billig & Czaja, the intellectual property law firm I co-founded in 1998. An engineer at heart, I share my knowledge and exacting eye for detail with my clients and colleagues. I was the first coordinating editor and am a contributing author of the treatise Electronic and Software Patents: Law and Practice (Bloomberg BNA). I served as the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association's (MIPLA) representative to the National Council of Intellectual Property Law Associations (NCIPLA). I remain a proud member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
