Pat Mackin is currently the Deputy Director of Public Affairs at the Defense Logistics Agency. Pat has seventeen years of experience directing strategic communication and public affairs within large government organizations at the national policy level. He specializes in audience-based communication strategies that lead to understanding, advocacy, and tangible resource support from key stakeholders. A retired Army colonel, he has managed large enterprise communications teams and served as spokesman and public affairs advisor for two 4-star military headquarters. He has deep expertise in designing media strategies and engaging with international media in the United States, Europe and Africa. For the past four years, Pat has focused on Veteran and military health care communications, developing strategies and guiding outreach efforts for VA, the Defense Center of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE), and the U.S. Army Surgeon General.
