I have a passionate interest in matching people and careers and have being applying this passion since 1973 when I got my first job outside the education sector as Training Manager with the Jones Group (a conglomerate of companies in the Building Services, Shipping, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Construction and Agri sectors)in Dublin; then as Personnel Manager;next as Human Resources Manager and Marketing Executive with SAMEC, a joint venture in Saudi Arabia between the Jones Group and NADCO, a Saudi Construction company and since 1982 as Managing Director of Owl Recruitment Limited (a recruitment company); ETC Consult ( the psychometrics division of Owl) and BFTTI - Business, Finance and Technology Training Institute ( a training company) and Alpha College of English (the English language training arm of BFTTI). Since 1982, I have worked with organisations of all kinds and individuals of all backgrounds in matching people and jobs, occupations and careers. I - with a great team - have assised organisations in their selection of the best candidates for positions ranging from apprentices and production line operatives through trainee graduates to accountants, agronomists, doctors, engineers, lawyers, IT executives, production managers, quantity surveyors, spot currency dealers and interbank traders; CFOs and CEOs. We coach,give career guidance and career planning assistance to and train individuals from age 16 up to their mid sixties in interview, cv writing and presentation skills: train people in the use of psychological tests to standards set by the British Psychological Society and are the distributors in Ireland for the most reputable international psychological test publishers - Hogan Assessments;Harcourt; GLA: PsychCorp; Pearson; Winslow Press; PAR. I am a Chartered Psychologist; an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society: a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland and an Associate Member of the American Psychology Association.
