Pat holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Alberta and completed Postdoctoral work at the University of Calgary. He has over 10 years of practical experience in proposing and leading well-funded pain research projects with findings published in several leading international journals, resulting in over 1700 citations. More recently, he has been leveraging his expertise and creativity on commercial teams in biotech industry to boost brand engagement and the adoption of client-focused solutions that drive scientific discoveries. Throughout his career journey, he has applied thorough and objective analysis of complex data in clearly presented and written reports. Furthermore, he has ensured that work met budgetary expectations and followed regulatory guidelines. He has also learned to share his expertise and engage diverse audiences, resulting in numerous opportunities to instruct, deliver seminars and run workshops at world-class institutes like Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (NY, USA) and Mayo Clinic (MN, USA).
