About Patrick Abbs
I became transfixed by the idea of figuring out how to algorithmically simulate natural learning behaviors in 2010. Over the next decade I pursued a career in machine learning, while in my free time developing a novel theoretical approach to learning that abandoned the statistical foundations of ML in favor of a new form of computation oriented around the philosophical concept of emergence. In 2020 I co-founded Cambrya to bring this new approach to computation and learning to fruition, and to responsibly and ethically begin to realize its potential.
