About Patrick Allen

Dr. Patrick D. Allen is a recognized expert in the field of information operations (IO), an international consultant in both IO and modeling and simulation (M&S), and practitioner and instructor in systems analysis and systems engineering. He is currently working in the fields of Cyber Maneuver, computer security, cyber situational awareness, advanced cyber training, cloud computing and analytics, and mulit-user virtual environments. Dr. Allen has designed and developed numerous real-world decision support tools and strategic technology plans for the Military Services, U.S. Pacific Command, U.S. Joint Forces Command, the Joint Special Operations Forces Institute, the Department of Defense, the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency, and the Intelligence Community. He is the award-winning designer and developer of major components of the fielded Information Warfare Planning Capability. His work also includes the Integrated Battle Command project and the Defense Against Cyber Attacks in Mobile Ad Hoc networks (DCA MANET), the Course of Action Process for computer network defense, IO test and evaluation support tools, Interactive Intelligence planning and analysis tool, and many military models and simulations. Allen has Bachelor's degree in Physics, Masters and Doctorate in Operations Research, and a Masters in Strategic Studies. He is a retired Colonel in the US Army Reserves, and is a graduate of both Army War College and Air War College. He is a former Visiting Fellow, Cranfield University, Defence Academy of the UK, and is an international consultant for the UK, Sweden, and Canada. Dr. Allen is a former Adjunct Professor at Old Dominion University teaching systems analysis, system of system engineering, and project management.
