I love setting goals and achieving them.I have always had a fascination with numbers that started in my youth. I loved baseball and memorizing statistics and analyzing data came naturally and was really fun. As I progressed through my educational studies, I realized just how important numbers were in every aspect of business.I have worked in many different areas which has allowed me to gain insight and appreciation towards all other departments in an organization. How they work together to achieve overall company goals is the key to success. I have spent the last 24 years of my career working with the same employer until my recent layoff in August, 2020. I was hired as a production supervisor and learned the science of Lean Manufacturing while training my staff with the time-saving principles. I then moved on to purchasing where I honed my negotiation skills and saw first-hand the benefit of a just-in-time inventory system. The past 17 years of my career I have been an Accounts Receivable/Credit Manager. I used my creativity to constantly develop new and efficient methods of reducing the DSO and past due account balances.Though I was taught early on in life that knowledge is power, I realized that communicating well with others allows this power to be unleashed. In the world of business numbers are crucial, but the ability to work well and communicate effectively is the key to being a great manager. All people are different and I have learned that everyone is motivated by different means. One of my strengths is to get to know the people I deal with on a routine basis and make them aware that I appreciate and value their efforts. By creating teamwork, my department will better achieve success.I am excited for the next opportunity that awaits me. I bring extensive experience and proven leadership skills with me on my career journey. I am hopeful that I can match up with an organization that is a great mutual fit. I can and will be an asset to anybody who is looking for a confident and motivated individual. I am looking forward to proving myself and helping your company to continue their success.
