He has a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Cyber Security Organization Leadership. His issued patents demonstrate the ability to solve new and emerging problems in information security as well as existing. He leads information security projects for customers of all sizes and industries. Patrick's communication abilities are demonstrated by the book,'Expert's Guide to OS/400 and i5/OS Security' for which he was a co-author. He has been a speaker at conferences world wide, and has been published in numerous trade-press magazines and newsletters. He has experience working with executive management as well as technical leaders. Patrick’s background includes IBM where he headed the IBM Lab Services worldwide security consulting practice from 2005 to 2007. Before that he played an increasingly responsible role in OS/400 operating system development, culminating in a position as S/400, i5/OS, and IBM i lead system security architect. Prior to joining IBM, he was a team leader distributed ECAD workstation tools at ETA Systems. Patrick focuses on both effective (technical) and efficient (cost) achievement of security requirements and objectives. To achieve this, he partners with customers to help them manage the entire security process from identification of business requirements and objectives through technical implementation and enforcement, while minimizing the cost of getting them to where they want and need to be.
