About Patrick Brausewetter

IT enthusiast with a strong user focus. I started my IT career as a developer, mainly in Java working on desktop application with a focus on GIS in the civil security domain. My viewpoint grew over the years including more and more the user side as I realised that IT is a great way to improve people's lives by automating boring manual processes or supporting them wherever necessary. But also one should never forget why IT is used by whom and what for - every developer should know this for the project he/she is working on! I see myself as a translator between the IT world and the user world - which can be a challenging task as both worlds have their own languages. Actually diving into new user worlds is a very interesting part of working in the IT area. My experience covers the whole software development cycle from product presentations over contract negotiations via development to deployment including user training and support.
