About Patrick Caronan

A nursing student with a Public Health background that cannot wait to make a difference in the community today! In addition to my tenure as a student nurse, I have prior internship experience through Butte County Public Health. I am most interested in working with organizations focused on addressing health inequities, specifically in a position directly involved with the public, creating relationships within the community, and/or providing care and health education for all.Originating from the small town of Santa Maria to the little big city that is Chico has exposed me to a wide variety of people who originated from different backgrounds and as a result has allowed me to work effectively with a diverse group of people no matter the work setting or the type of industry. My ability to work with a team consisting of individuals from all walks of life is something I take great pride in. My education in Public Health has further improved my knowledge and understanding of people with life experiences different than mine. This has allowed me to not only be a more well-rounded individual but also a more informed prospective nurse that is able to approach situations involving either underserved or vulnerable populations compassionately and respectfully, and provide high quality care appropriately.
