About Patrick Cash

As a dedicated archivist, I specialize in preserving, interpreting, and providing access to unique historical materials. With a strong foundation in history and library science, I bring over a decade of experience in archival leadership, collection development, outreach, and instruction. I earned a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, a Master of Arts in History from East Tennessee State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Secondary Education from Mars Hill College. My career has included roles as an archivist, instructor, and museum curator, all driven by a passion for Public History and connecting people with the past, whether through exhibitions, research support, or engaging educational programs. I’m particularly interested in expanding access to underrepresented voices in archival collections and fostering collaboration across academic and community institutions. My professional research explores North Carolina’s resistance to Civil Rights legislation in the 20th century and the use of comic books and graphic novels to teach history.
