About Patrick Chevallereau

With nearly 20 years in the political-military affairs and international relations at the top-level, I offer a unique background in leadership and strategic advisory. This experience benefits public and private decision-makers in addressing the complexity and uncertainties of their fast-moving environment and in helping them to make the right choices. My career includes a significant field experience of naval and joint military operations as well as in advising top civilian, military, and diplomatic authorities. I offer solid expertise in international government relations, defence-related matters, and global maritime challenges. Throughout influential positions in France, the U.K. and the U.S.A, I have developed a rare practice of the Euro-Atlantic security issues. This includes dealing with future challenges faced by NATO, the European Union, the United Nations, and many key bilateral relationships. My responsibilities in a prominent national institution managing France’s “State Action at Sea” made me a practitioner of the inter-ministerial arena, which involved the coordination of maritime policies and crisis response for a country with the second-largest maritime domain worldwide. As France’s senior military authority in the U.K. and the lead in-country representative for defence relations between the two countries, I have dealt with the implications of Brexit including the future strategic articulation between the U.K. and the European Union.
