About Patrick Connerney

I am a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). As a business Administrations major; I am fascinated by how the law interacts with businesses. Over 4-years of leadership training as part of the US Army ROTC program with a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant on June 5th, 2021. I have led and organized over 40 personnel in missions ranging from field training to the planning of a week-long mission a year in advance. Such planning took into consideration the food, water, clothing, weather, transportation, and scheduling that would be needed for success. Spent 3-years as a Judicial Advisor in the RPI Student Government where my job was to study the legal guidelines of RPI and apply them to differing cases. During this time I was a voting member on over 8 cases and judicial advisor on 5 others. I needed to analyze the guidelines, listen to the case made by the student and the administration, and then make a decision on whether we as a judicial body would overturn, modify or rule in favor of the punishment made by the school. For 2-years I was the financial organizer of the RPI Hackathon where I managed expenditure, transportation, food ordering, and overall budget of the event. I was in charge of getting in contact with multiple retailers in order to coordinate the above items according to the schedule set out by the head of the Hackathon program. Over 6 years of leadership and organizational position experience providing group leadership for multiple patrols of boy scouts simultaneously. Proven success in managing, training, mentoring and leading large groups in multiple group activities and team-building courses. Recognized inability to address and resolve emergency situations, unplanned contingencies, and project scheduling/budgeting. I have a passion for continuous improvement, I am highly metrics focused, and strongly driven to ensure projects are completed to a successful resolution. I gained the rank of Eagle Scout through multiple years of experience and have applied learned methodologies to multiple projects.
