About Patrick Corrigan

I am currently working at Viewpoint Construction Software as a QA Engineer. My primary duty is to write and execute test cases to validate new features and bug fixes. In many cases I will work directly with the developers to come to a better understanding of how a feature is intended to function. I also contribute to the automation effort by automating test cases as well as contributing improvements to the automation framework itself. Our automation is written in C# using CodedUI as a base. I previously worked for Intel as a Validation Engineer. I worked as part of a team that performs quality assurance on software/hardware for an entire platform generation. This included reading specification documents, working with development teams, writing test cases, and executing test cases. I also worked as a part of our groups automation team, which served to support our effort to implement continuous integration. In this role I have written scripts in both Python, PowerShell, and AutoIt, as well as writing tools in C#. We used Perforce for source control and we follow the Scrum process.
