An accomplished International Executive Security Professional, Patrick DePriest has built an impressive career ensuring the safety of organizations, corporations, individuals and groups, including government officials, celebrities and other high-profile clientele. He currently serves as Global Strategic Development Director for Pacific West Academy where he utilizes his proven experience, a constant quest for knowledge and true dedication to all thing’s protection-related to develop new associations, relationships and programs that support Pacific West Academy’s Global Strategic Vision. Along with his extensive education, training and experience, Mr. DePriest is known for his exceptional communication skills, self-discipline and natural talent for strategic/tactical problem-solving. His success with complex assignments as Director of Security for the 49th Congressional District democratic candidate and as liaison to the US Secret Service speaks for itself—as do career highlights in personal protection assignments with Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Sony Corporation, Chairman, Sir Howard Stringer and movie & television Producer, Aaron Spelling. Mr. DePriest has also consulted with marque brands on shoring up corporate security, as well as for many major corporate events in the United States and abroad. For more than 27 years in the International Security & Protective services industry, Mr. DePriest has amassed advanced knowledge of operational oversight and security measures specifically related to airports, restaurants, hotels, resorts and other points of interest throughout New Orleans, San Diego, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Montreal and Mexico. Along with his global strategic development responsibilities, Mr. DePriest actively contributes as a guest lector with Pacific West Academy’s most advanced executive security training cadres where he helps to develop fellow veterans and corporate security professionals. He has also previously served as an adjunct security agent with several in-house security & protection details for multinational corporations across the globe. Before becoming a security leader, Patrick served as a United States Marine. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego in International Relations & Macro Economic Theory as well as numerous security industry certifications and designations. When he’s not working, Patrick enjoys training and competing in the martial arts, photography and giving back through community service and civic/political involvement.
