About Patrick Dermak

From concert pianist, to law school, to owning my own marketing agency. Some would call it job hopping – for me, it was the journey to becoming an entrepreneur. The first stage of my life was dedicated to the piano. At the age of 12, as a young student at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, I started my career as a concert pianist. In following years, I was privileged to play as a regular guest in Europe's most renowned concert halls, such as the Musikhalle Hamburg, the Gewandhaus Leipzig as well as the Berlin Philharmonie. After an injury and an abrupt end to my music career, a complete change of industry followed at 18: Law studies at the University of Augsburg and a Master's degree in intellectual property at the Santa Clara School of Law were the next steps in my life. In the process, I was able to gain valuable work experience at Deloitte, Baker & McKenzie and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. 🧑‍ During my Master's degree, I founded my first company in the field of social advertising as a career changer - when the topic of digital marketing was still in its infancy. Since 2015, I have already managed over 300 million Euros of adspend with my team at ADBAKER. In doing so, we successfully support clients like Porsche, Babor & Schwäbisch Hall in their scaling and digital growth.
