About Patrick Diaz

As a lifelong DJ, I've been able to see and perform on three different continents, have my remixes be played on international radio multiple times, and be the go-to DJ for such companies as Twitter, Facebook, The New York Times, Porshe, and others. As a music program producer/host every Tuesday evening on KALW. The role requires hours of music discovery and curation of all genres and styles, maintaining professional relationships with talent, labels, and campaign teams, and writing and recording weekly on-air promos. I'm also a marketing coordinator with the station's Creative Director and Music Programmer. My duties include creating assets & writing copy for fundraising drives and content for our new music department. While earning a Major in Communication and a Minor in Marketing from SFSU, I started an internship at Big Wave Media, where I was eventually hired once graduating. While working directly with the CEO/Founder, as the link between our agency and the sales team for such vendors as Pandora, Comcast, and CBS. Lifelong music lover, luckily enough to make a career out of it but also with a major in Communication, a minor in Marketing, and with media agency experience as well.
