I develop high performing teams to achieve their personal and professional goals by being an AHOLE Early in my career, I applied for a sales manager position. At the time, I was a high performing sales rep for the same company, and I was encouraged by my manager to put my name in the hat for the role. I was screened by our internal recruiter as the first part of the interview process and afterwards I asked the recruiter if she thought I could be successful in this position. Her response was, “Honestly, No! You need to be an asshole to be successful in this role and I don’t see that in you.” Wow! What? So long story short, a few people took a chance on me, and I got the job. I went on to build one of the highest performing sales teams in the company. I haven't been able to explain how I have been able to do this over and over again until I was introduced to the concept of becoming an AHOLE by Erin Hatzikostas. It has become apparent that it is my authenticity that is my secrete weapon that has led to my success over all of these years.
