My legal practice for more than 20 years has focused on employment law, employment litigation and commercial disputes. I advise employers, large and small, in connection with hiring, discipline and termination of employees, claims for wrongful discharge, race, age, sex, national origin and disability discrimination, unemployment, FMLA and Wage and Hour violations. I draft, review and enforce employment contracts, covenants not to compete and Company policies and procedures. I have extensive experience in state and federal court at the trial court and appellate levels handling employment claims of all manner and type and have successfully tried such cases to verdict. I also regularly represent employers who are the subject of civil investigations by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Department of Labor (DOL) and other agencies. I also have extensive experience representing hospitals, medical groups, emergency ambulance providers, physicians and executives involving contracts, restrictive covenants, medical staff/peer review and employment matters. I have also defended churches and other organizations in sexual abuse cases. I am a certified Mediator. I maintain a secondary practice area in real estate title claims litigation and represent title insurance companies and their insureds.
