About Patrick Finnerty

My career interests include instructional design, project management, educational technology, training & development in various industries. I am an Instructional Technologist with over 4 years of experience support faculty, staff and students with the challenges of implementing technology into the classroom by developing and designing custom instructional training, e-Learning and blended/hybrid learning courses in academia. I enjoy helping faculty, staff and students navigate the ever-growing world of technology in education, and how they can seamlessly implement technology instructional aids into their courses. As an Instructional Designer, I have worked on many different training projects, and am able to learn new content and technology applications quickly while delivering high-quality training courses. I have supported faculty and students in the adoption of new Google Suites applications such as Google Sites for portfolio purposes, and I have created and implemented training for faculty performance and review programs through Interfolio. Also, as an instructor for pre-service teachers in an undergrad technology class, I am able to guide new aspiring teachers through the use and adoption of technology as they start to prepare themselves for a career of teaching with the use of technology. My background with Industrial Organization and Psychology stems from my 7-year experience in the retail world with 2 years being part of a store management team for a national retail franchise. This experience and my education set me apart from others by allowing me to utilize experiences to help promote organizational leadership and training & development at the corporate level.
