MSN, RN nursing Student enrolled in the University of San Diego's Master's Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) seeking a future career in transplant/critical care, emergency, and wound care nursing. I am tenacious, meticulous, and dedicated to patient care and advocacy. I study Intensive Care, Emergency, Pediatric, Maternity, and Medical-Surgical Nursing. Additionally, I am training to be a Clinical Nurse Leader. Through my studies and volunteer work at Balboa Naval Hospital, I have discovered my passion for critical care and emergency nursing and seek a career in that field. My quick problem-solving skills coupled with my formal education make me a perfect fit for this field. Also currently serving as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Naval Reserves. Previous experience includes 8 years of proven leadership and management experience while serving as an Active Duty Naval Officer. Accomplished measurable results while leading teams of 40+ personnel in stressful, dynamic, and time-sensitive environment. Supervised and lead the operation, maintenance, and repair of assets, property, and propulsion equipment valued at over $40M, meeting all requirements from senior leadership. Recipient of various military awards recognizing expert performance and professionalism. I am eager to transfer my leadership and management skills and look forward to the challenges and continued opportunity to serve my community this new career in nursing will bring me.
