Distinguished Ohio attorney with over 25 years of trusted legal experience. Pat, a die-hard St. Edward Eagle, taught theology at St. Ignatius High School early on, while pursuing his law degree and went on to serve as the General Legal Counsel for 21 corporations of Cleveland Catholic Charities with over 2,500 employees and $90M in revenue. For over 15 years he directed numerous development/advancement teams and programs at several large Cleveland nonprofits including the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, University Hospitals Health System and John Carroll University. Here he structured seven and eight figure gifts to name buildings, wings, and endowed professorships. Ertle earned his juris doctor degree from Cleveland State University College of Law. He earned a bachelor’s degree in classical languages and English literature from Borromeo College of Ohio with a semester of graduate studies at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome. He has served on corporate boards at St. Ignatius High School, The Bank of New York-Mellon Charitable Advisory Board, L’Arche Cleveland (Group Homes), St. Augustine Academy, and St. Edward High School and West Side Catholic Center Development Committees.
