About Patrick Kielkowski

Growing up in Houston, Texas, it’s hard not to develop a love for space flight and exploration given the space culture that exists here. For me, this love quickly began shaping my life after I was fortunate enough to witness the STS-117 crew launch from Cape Canaveral aboard the Space Shuttle Atlantis. Unsurprisingly, astronautics and aeronautics have always held a special place in my heart, and eventually led to my fascination with engineering and the aerospace industry as a whole. Coupled with this fascination, the work ethic instilled in me by my immigrant parents, and my lifelong passion for understanding how things work (including the magic behind making immensely massive vehicles soar through the air), has shaped me into the open-minded mechanical engineer that I am today. Additionally, the experience I have gained from various roles in several engineering industries has not only provided me with the soft skills necessary to be a successful team member, but also the technical design and problem-solving knowledge to be a successful engineer. Moreover, I have received my Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, as well as a Microsoft Office Specialist certification. Now that I have realized my dream of joining the aerospace industry, I am extremely motivated by the opportunity to continue learning and contributing to the exploration of the unknown.
